Oasis Hotels & Resorts operates a collection of all-inclusive resorts in Cancun—including a new one opening in November—with different concepts catering to a variety of clients. It also has two Cancun hotels downtown, ideal for business travelers.
The company’s largest complex, in Cancun, is divided into three hotels featuring entertainment, diverse shows and acclaimed restaurants. The Palm complex, also in Cancun, consists of two hotels geared to families.
We spoke with Enrique Klein, senior vice president, Travel Experience Marketing, exclusive representative for Oasis Hotels & Resorts, to learn more about this brand.
How old is the company? When was it launched?
Oasis Hotels & Resorts have had a very significant footprint in the success and development of Cancun since the late 1980s.
How many resorts do you operate today, and how are those hotels branded?
Oasis Hotels currently operates six distinct all-inclusive resorts and two urban properties. The Oasis Cancun Lite is a budget-friendly, all-inclusive resort featuring basic amenities and services with a limited selection of restaurants and bars, and access to all daily activities and live entertainment. The Oasis Palm is perfect for an exciting, family-friendly, budget-conscious, all-inclusive vacation at a beautifully refreshed resort. The property features the Kiddo Zone, offering 45,000 square feet including pirate adventures and splash areas, with fully supervised activities.
The Pyramid at Grand Oasis is our premier all-inclusive resort within our Grand brand, and includes restaurants, bars and exclusive facilities for Pyramid guests, who also have access to the restaurants and bars at its sister resorts, Grand Oasis Cancun and Oasis Cancun Lite.
Pyramid guests also enjoy other privileges such as a private beach club, upgraded mini-bars and free Wi-Fi for two devices. Our Sens Cancun property opens in November and, like the Pyramid at Grand Oasis, features exclusive amenities and services, a private beach club and over-sized accommodations with most rooms having a personal plunge pool or whirlpool.
We also operate Oh! By Oasis and Smart Cancun by Oasis, both in downtown Cancun. The properties offer upgraded options for business travelers, including room-only plans, with daily breakfast included.
Are the individual resorts targeted toward a specific clientele?
Our branding is designed to address very specific travel experiences. Sens Cancun, opening in November, offers adults-only accommodations; Oasis Palm and Grand Oasis Palm are for families; and The Pyramid at Grand Oasis, Grand Oasis Cancun and Oasis Cancun Lite focus on fun and entertainment.
How would you describe the Oasis Hotels & Resorts clientele?
Our customer profile/demographics tend to be young and vibrant as a result of our brand positioning and pricing. We have an upscale clientele who prefer resorts such as the Pyramid, and we also have a strong following from the middle class, who tend to buy the Grand brand. Our Oasis brand, being the most affordable category, represents a great value.
